Conventions of Promotional Videos

As the names states, the purpose of promotional videos is to promote something. A common example of these would be movie trailers, as they are essential in the promotion of films. They include video clips from the films, background music and come with other features such as the date of release and the company who made it. On video-sharing websites such as YouTube, you can often find links in the video description which provide links for the user to find out more about the film itself. For my group's interactive production, The Word, there is a trailer placed on our website.
